Financial Risk
I find it fascinating that while we can mathematically model a person’s need and capacity for financial risk, we can’t create a perfect formula for their willingness to take it. This psychological component is in constant flux, shifting day-to-day, even minute-to-minute. Think about how market news or a conversation with a friend can instantly change how you feel about your investments. This emotional element is arguably the most difficult part of financial advising and why aligning a long-term plan with an individual’s temperament is such a nuanced art.
