Jonathan M. Satovsky, founder of SAM, built his reputation by focusing on four principles: utmost professionalism, compassion for clients, thorough evidence based research and alignment of interests. Providing advice on over 1 billion in assets and managing over 400 million discretionarily on behalf of clients, his independent, professional, client-centered approach resonates with high-net worth investors.

Prior to launching SAM, Jonathan was at American Express Financial Advisors for over 13 years, joining the Chairman Advisory Counsel as one of the youngest top 10 advisors at the company. Throughout his tenure at American Express, Jonathan held a fiduciary mindset, building financial plans and investment portfolios for institutions and individuals while maintaining his deep seated commitment to serve their best interests, In 2007, Jonathan left to launch SAM to move away from a large, bureaucratic, commission-based environment to create a boutique firm that would offer his clients a bespoke wealth management experience.

Recognizing that there is no silver bullet or one size fits all solution, Jonathan’s focus is on understanding each client’s unique vision, goals and preferences and aligning advice and portfolio structure in a custom-tailored manner to help his clients achieve financial peace of mind. Continually seeking opportunities to enhance the value he can bring to his clients’ lives, Jonathan obtained the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and a Certificate in Applied Behavioral Finance. He attended The Wharton School in their private Wealth Management Program as part of a program with the Institute for Private Investors.

With the economic landscape continually changing and investment opportunities and options continually expanding, a focus on research is important to Jonathan. He puts great emphasis on continued education, as staying abreast of industry trends and developments, and being aware of the latest options across the landscape, provides him with the expertise, tools and resources to best serve his clients.

Jonathan is currently a part of Vistage International, a private advisory group for executives and business owners. As a lifelong learner, he also participated in Tiger 21, a learning network for high-net worth investors that focuses on improving members’ investment acumen, as well as exploring common issues of wealth preservation, estate planning, and family dynamics. In addition, he was an active participant for many years in (IPI) the Institute for Private Investors. A global community of private wealth investors providing lifelong peer to peer learning and sharing seeking to help its members become better stewards of their wealth and make more informed decisions for their future legacy.

Outside of work, Jonathan can be found spending time with his wife Stacey and their children Adam, Julia and Aerin.
